After The Fallen, use the Arcane Whip to revisit earlier rooms before crossing the Demo’s final boundary. The most useful confirmed returns are the hidden Cestus, several breakable statues, and an attack-up book. This is a verified route aid for observed pickups, not a claim that every Demo secret has been found.
Decide which return is worth your time
| Return | Required ability | What you can confirm | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cestus chest | Arcane Whip | A named close-range weapon | You want a new attack style |
| Sewer statues | Arcane Whip routes | Breakable upgrade objects at three observed sewer landmarks | You are already backtracking through the sewers |
| Attack-up book | Enemy or anchor-assisted climb | On-screen ATK UP! after touching the book | You want a direct upgrade before leaving |
| Red-street statues | Arcane Whip and one breakable wall | Two observed statues in high street routes | You are doing a broader cleanup pass |
Get the hidden Cestus first
Return to Sewer Reservoir, the room immediately after the first Mirror of Life save point. Find the huge staircase in the background and stand on the grate platform in its middle. Lash directly upward to reveal the hidden anchor, hook onto it, and open the chest in the upper secret room.
The route requires the Arcane Whip obtained after The Fallen. Use the full Cestus guide if the anchor or staircase is the part stopping you.

Three observed sewer statue returns
These three pickups are supported by captured Demo footage, but the edited video does not establish one continuous uncut route between every room.
- Water corridor central pier: in the Abandoned Sewers’ long flooded corridor, climb at the right side, then swing back toward the small platform on the central stone pier. Break the statue on that platform.
- Upper corridor with spikes below: descend from the upper passage, catch the anchor below and swing to the lower-left platform. Avoid dropping straight into the spikes. One recorded pickup produced a level-up, but that does not mean every statue guarantees an immediate level.
- Waterfall and barrel room: use the circular anchor above the right-side stone column and swing left to the ledge above the pale door. The statue is on the high ledge, not inside the barrels at ground level.
Take the attack-up book in the high room
In the tall room associated with the upper return route, clear the enemies and use an enemy or fixed anchor to regain the high passage. The observed book sits in a lower alcove beneath a purple wheel, at the right end of a stone-and-timber chamber. Touching it produced the on-screen message ATK UP!.
The available footage cuts between parts of the approach, so this page does not invent a door-by-door connection into the alcove. Use the purple wheel, central grate, timber and bones as the reliable visual checks once you enter that chamber.
Check two red-street returns
The later recorded returns take place in red stone street rooms rather than the green sewer rooms.
- High walkway statue: in the red arched room with hanging birds and stacked crates, use the high route and move left along the upper walkway to the statue.
- Breakable high wall: in the next large red arch room, clear the enemies, grapple toward the top of the arch and attack the high wall on the right. The wall opens into a recessed space containing another statue.
These landmarks support the actions above. They do not establish an official room-by-room collectible counter or a complete map total.
Before you cross the Demo boundary
Near the rooftop panorama, the Demo warns that proceeding returns you to the main menu while exploration is still available beforehand. Use that notice as your cleanup decision point.
If you only want a new weapon, take Cestus and continue. If you want the observed upgrades, add the sewer statues, attack-up book and red-street returns. For the required route versus optional detours, follow the Demo progression guide.
What this page still does not claim
The source video calls itself an all-secrets guide, but a title is not proof of completeness. This page therefore omits a total collectible count, exact experience values, guaranteed level-ups and any pickup whose location cannot be reconstructed from the captured landmarks.
