The Demo is available on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Use it to test the opening movement, combat and exploration loop, then keep the same platform, account and Demo save if you want to transfer progress to the full game.

This page is the Demo hub. Use the linked task guide when you need a route, fight or pickup rather than searching through one long walkthrough.
Find the Demo
Open your platform’s store and search for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Choose the Demo entry for that exact title rather than the paid edition.
Use Konami’s announcement to confirm the Demo platform list. The public Demo is a pre-release slice, so its available features and content do not define the size of the full game.
What can you play?
Konami describes the Demo as the early stages of the game. It is enough to test the core loop: Rose fights with the Vampire Killer, moves through Paris and the sewers, reaches The Fallen, and gains an ability that changes which earlier spaces she can reach.
That last point matters. Defeating The Fallen leads to the Arcane Whip tutorial, so boss progress is also exploration progress. The ability lets Rose aim at luminous anchors or enemies and reach new areas. See why that connection defines the Arcana system.
Main progress and optional returns
For required progress, start with the barrel-side street mechanism, descend into the sewer route and continue toward The Fallen. The current walkthrough keeps those route checkpoints separate from optional pickups.
After the boss, you can move toward the Demo boundary or turn back with the Arcane Whip. The return path includes optional statues, an attack-up book and the hidden Cestus route. Use the verified secrets page to decide which detours are worth making before you leave.
Stop before the Demo boundary if you want to explore
Near the Demo’s end, Rose climbs leftward stairs toward a pale doorway above the rooftop panorama. The on-screen notice warns that proceeding returns you to the main menu and says exploration remains available before that boundary.
Turn back before proceeding if you still want to revisit the sewers or collect optional upgrades in the current session. This observation does not guarantee what happens after quitting and reloading a completed save.
Transfer conditions
Before switching to the full game:
- Keep the Demo save data.
- Use the same platform.
- Use the same account.
- Update the full version to the latest version when transferring.
Konami announces progress transfer under those conditions, but does not provide an item-by-item carryover list. Keep the Demo save until the transfer you need is complete, and check your platform before choosing an edition.
